The Duo Drag Metal SS Blade adds blade flash to a metal jig profile, making it useful when fish are reacting to vibration and flicker rather than a plain falling metal.
It is a good search lure when bait is scattered and you need extra signal in the water.
The blade changes the presentation.
On a steady retrieve it gives extra pulse and flash, while on the fall it can draw attention from fish sitting below the bait.
That makes it useful around breakwaters, piers, reef edges and open flats.
Keep the retrieve clean enough for the blade to spin, then add pauses or short lifts when you pass through the strike zone.
If the blade stops working because of weed or fouling, clear it quickly; the lure loses much of its appeal without that vibration.
It is not the most subtle option in clear, calm water.
Use it when visibility is reduced, fish are spread out, or you need a lure that calls fish from a little farther away.
The PFA0623 finish should be chosen by visibility rather than by name alone.
If it looks natural or silver, use it for clear water and baitfish-matching.
If it has pink, chartreuse, glow or heavy flash, save it for low light, surf, stained water or reaction bites.
The lure's action and size matter first; the finish fine-tunes how easily fish can find it.
