Use hard sweeps or sharp pops when fish are active, then pause so following fish can line it up.
In rough water, stronger rod work helps the lure stay visible; in calmer water, shorter pops and longer pauses can look more natural.
It is strongest around bait balls, current edges, reef points, FADs, rock ledges, and open-water surface feeds.
It is not a deep jigging lure; if fish are marked deep and not rising, switch to metal first.
