It is designed for commotion: splash, sound, and a large target when fish are hunting near the surface.

Use strong rod sweeps to make it throw water, then pause so fish can line it up.

In rough water, the big splash helps keep the lure visible; in calmer water, shorter pops and longer pauses can be better.

It is strongest around bait balls, reef points, current lines, offshore structure, and surface-feeding pelagics.
