The Tyrant 180P Popper is a floating popper for surface commotion and reaction bites.
The cupped face is the key: it throws water and sound, giving predators a target they can find when bait is pushed high.
Use short pops and pauses when fish are cautious, or harder sweeps when you need more splash in chop.
The pause after the pop is important because many strikes come when the lure stops moving and looks vulnerable.
It is strongest around reef edges, current lines, shallow points, harbour mouths, and surface bait schools.
It is not the lure for fish holding deep or feeding on tiny bait with no surface interest.
The named finish should be chosen by visibility and contrast rather than by name alone: cleaner, subtler patterns for clear water and stronger contrast when chop, low light, or distance makes the lure harder to track.
TARGET SPECIES: GT, tuna, kingfish, amberjack, mahi-mahi, queenfish, trevally, bonito, and offshore predators feeding on larger bait near the surface.
