Rapala Shadow Rap Slow Sinking Lure SDR07/AS
Slow Sinking
The Rapala Shadow Rap Slow Sinking Lure is a stop-and-go minnow/shad profile for anglers who want a lure that can break rhythm and hold fish attention.
It is especially useful when predators follow a normal retrieve but will only eat when the lure suddenly stops or changes direction.
Use twitches, short rips, and pauses rather than one flat retrieve every cast.
The pause is the trigger: let the lure sit long enough for a following fish to catch up, then restart it sharply to imitate bait trying to escape.
It is strongest around bait schools, weed edges, rock walls, drains, bridge shade, and clear-water lanes where fish can see the stop-and-flash movement.
In dirty water, a louder vibration or crankbait may be easier to track.
The natural baitfish-style finish is best used when the water has enough clarity for fish to feed by sight.
It is the safer choice when predators are already keyed on small bait rather than just reacting to noise and contrast.
TARGET SPECIES: bass, perch, pike, sea bass, mangrove jack, flatfish, and predators holding around rock, timber, weed, ledges, or shallow cover.
