The Yo-Zuri Hydro Pencil 125 mm Floating Lure is a floating topwater pencil built for surface walking, not a fixed diving action.
The lure’s movement comes from rod tip rhythm and slack line, giving you control over whether it walks wide, tight, slow, or fast.
Use short downward twitches with a touch of slack to make it walk side to side.
Slow the cadence when fish are following but not eating, or speed it across nervous bait and broken water when you need a reaction strike.
It is strongest over flats, reef tops, rock edges, drains, and bait schools where predators are looking upward.
It is not the best choice when fish are glued to bottom, but when the surface bite is on, the pause and walk can be deadly.
Natural or translucent baitfish finishes are best in clear to lightly stained water, especially when fish are feeding by sight and have time to inspect the lure.
TARGET SPECIES: sea bass, trevally, queenfish, bluefish, barramundi, snakehead, bass, and predators willing to hit bait on or near the surface.
